Giving Opportunities
"Involving people in philanthropy for higher education and cultural enrichment on the North Olympic Peninsula."
To meet current and future needs of Peninsula College, the Peninsula College Foundation is dependent on the financial support of community members, the alumni family, businesses and organizations, and other friends of the College. There are several ways to help the College.
- Annual Giving
- President's Circle Membership
- Endowment and Scholarship Funds
- Planned Giving
- Fund a Library Collection
- Buy a book for Someone Special
ANNUAL GIVING — THE ANNUAL FUND
The Annual Fund provides unrestricted dollars to support a variety of on-campus programs and activities. Under the direction of the Board of Governors, the Foundation awards these funds to applicants within the College Community who demonstrate a compelling need and who represent the mission and ideals of the College and the Foundation.
- Student Scholarships
- Classroom and Presentation Materials and Equipment
- Special Programs in the Arts, Sciences, and Technical Fields
PRESIDENT'S CIRCLE
The President's Circle is Peninsula College's primary source of continuous private funding. Through generous annual gifts — $1,000 or more annually — President's Circle donors help the college to:
- Attract and retain the highest caliber faculty
- Support learning with the most up-to-date technology, library resources, and classroom equipment
- Remain focused on the success of students striving to improve their lives
President's Circle members' gifts make a profound difference in the college's ability to respond to current and future needs by providing quality teaching enrichment programs, student scholarships, equipment, and material needs.

Endowment "Gifts in Perpetuity" Funds
The Foundation has received gifts from a number of generous contributors for the establishment of Endowment Funds. These funds generate interest income in perpetuity for the college, for scholarships, special programs, or other specific needs as directed by the donor. Endowments are often set up in honor or in memory of a special person or persons. This is a wonderful way to make a difference in people's lives while honoring and remembering someone who made a difference in yours. Endowments are typically gifts of $25,000 or more.
Scholarship Funds
The Foundation has established a number of scholarships in areas including environmental science, medical assistance, music and nursing. Like endowment funds, scholarship funds are often set up in honor of or in memory of a loved one. But unlike an endowment, scholarship funds can be set up in any amount indicated by the donor. They can be funded with a one-time gift or installments. Scholarship funds can be awarded once or annually depending on the donor's wishes. For more information on how you can start a scholarship in someone's name or for a particular program, please contact the Foundation Office at 417-6535.
PLANNED GIVING
There are several ways to make a planned gift to the college. A simple bequest of money, property, life insurance or retirement or savings accounts can help meet both philanthropic and financial goals. A number of these are briefly explained in the section, Ways to Give.
