The Entrepreneur Scholarship:

In March 2009, First Federal awarded $20,000 to the Peninsula College Entrepreneur Institute (PCEI) through the bank's Community Dividend Program.

The funds will be used to help retain and grow existing small businesses, encourage the growth of new small businesses and develop skills for both business entrepreneurs and entry-level workforce.

A major focus of the funds will be reduced rate or free classes and workshops specifically aimed at business planning, communication, professionalism and customer retention skills. The funds will also be used for student scholarships, technology advancements and a summer youth activity designed around entrepreneurial education and leadership.

Look for more Peninsula College Foundation scholarships at the beginning of each year for spring awards.
